One of the simplest and most effective ways of keeping pool water cool is to use a pool cover. A quality cover helps reduce water evaporation, which is one of the main reasons for heat loss. By covering your pool during periods when it's not in use, you prevent warm air from stealing heat from the water and maintain a cooler temperature. Contrary to popular belief, a bubble cover does not heat up your pool water. You've got no more excuses not to install one!

  2. Installing a heat pump
Incasting in a pool heat pump is an excellent solution for efficient, energy-saving water cooling. These pumps use energy from the ambient air to transfer heat out of the pool water, helping to maintain a cooler temperature. Heat pumps are efficient even in hot weather, and will provide precise water temperature control. Mazda Pool heat pumps feature a heat/cool mode that switches between heating and cooling depending on weather conditions, so you can always keep the water at YOUR ideal temperature.

  3. Programming filtration systems
Poor filtration systems can be programmed to operate at specific times of the day. By adjusting filtration schedules, you can reduce system operation during the hottest hours. This avoids stirring the hot water and saves energy. However, be careful not to compromise water quality by reducing filtration times too much.

  4. Add water jets
Installing a water jets or fountains in the pool is another effective method of keeping the water cool. These devices stir up the water and promote evaporation, which in turn cools the water temperature. Moreover, water jets add an aesthetic touch to your pool.
